Online distance learning provides students with a new way of studying. No more travelling to lectures and no more queuing to see your tutor at awkward times. Students now have the ability to share and communicate via a “Virtual Learning Environments” in real-time. This technology enables students instance access to their course material, assignments and grades. You can share information with your fellow students via discussions forums and chat boards, downloads lectures you may have missed or see your tutor any time - morning, noon or night - via online tutors office.

However the best thing about online distance learning is the flexibility. You are able to study where you want, when you want, for long as you want. It’s convenient and meets the needs of the learner. Attending lecturers and fitting in with times and dates determined by an institution that is rigid with those considerations is a thing of the past with online distance learning.

With online distance learning: you are not confined to a classroom for a fixed amount of time on an agreed date. The flexibility offered by online distance learning opens up the possibilities of gaining and/or enhancing qualifications to a wide range of people who might otherwise not feel able to do so.
