How will you unlock your Samsung mobile phone online?

Subscriber Information Module card or ‘SIM’ card is a rectangular plastic card used by all mobile phones which enables access of a mobile phone on a particular mobile network. This card contains a unique serial number (IMEI) which identifies the person in whose name the SIM card has been purchased. Therefore, the SIM card is in one way yours as well as your phone’s ID card. Mobile phone companies generally lock their phones with a particular SIM card, so that you cannot access any network other than the one they have provided you with. This locking system is ok if the phone has been leased by the company but in cases where you have bought the phone this problem is really annoying. Being unable to handle this problem you might opt to sell the phone but then again, you will get a much lower value for your phone because it is locked and the buyer will have to unlock it at his own expense.

Almost every phone nowadays can be unlocked. There are different ways to do this. You can give it a shot yourself but if done wrong you might damage your phone ending up with a phone that displays; ‘phone freeze’ or ‘contact Service operator’. This can be fixed but it is of course better to prevent. Certain websites sell the unlock codes for the phones, others accept your phones through mail, unlock them and return them back to you and other websites offer an easy ‘do-it- yourself’ unlock system where you can unlock your phone using their specially developed system for end users at home. For unlocking your phone, a SIM card is never required and you may continue using your SIM in any other mobile.

The costs of purchasing an unlock code (which is in fact the same code if you get the unlock code from your provider which costs around 80 – 150 euros) is around 20 – 30 euros and take 24 – 48 hours to be delivered to your email. Using the option to send your phone using the mail the cost will be around 30 euros (15 euro unlocking costs and 15 euro shipping costs) and will also always take a couple days. The third option; the ‘do-it-yourself’ systems (also called Remote unlock systems) are around the 15 euros and will give you an unlocked phone within 15 minutes.

This locking system of the phone is a result of the competition between the various networks that are providing cell phone services. In certain cases this competition has led to incorporation of features in the cell phones which has benefited the customer to a great extent. But this lock system has been incorporated to prevent the user from choosing or opting for any other service than one particular service. Of course they can be unlocked and if you own such a phone then you would surely want to do so at some moment. Just remember, it may look difficult to unlock your phone but with some professional help it does not have to be at all! Get it unlocked professionally and enjoy the Samsung great user interface without any further problems.
