For those lucky few who have yet to share a bed with a full blown snorer, then you may not truly understand the severity of being the spouse to a person who regularly snores. Out of all of the regular marriage complains, snoring is one of the few that can directly affect the health of both spouses, directly and indirectly. The overall health and quality of marriage can be ruined over a period of time due to snoring. Sexual relations diminish due to sleep deprivation while other consequences may be daily friction, irritability and even spat between spouses.

There are some things that can bring relief to curb snoring and to improve overall health. Quit smoking, stop drinking and loose some weight- the three ways to reduce snoring. If none of the bad habits apply to you or your snoring spouse, then some minor changes of the daily diet could help. Milk and other dairy products contribute in creating mucus and obstruct in the softest area of the air passages of where the initial snoring noise is made.
Before you or your spouse has to move out of the shared bedroom, there are several inexpensive methods for resolving the unhealthy snoring issue. Many methods can be experimented with until the right one or combination of anti-snoring resolutions can be found. The starting point is to find the root cause of any prolonged snoring problems. After having an idea of the causes of the initial snoring, then comes the exploration of resolutions to experiment with. With a little research, and help from your spouse, many cases of snoring can be eliminated or at least brought down to a content level for both you and your spouse that can make your marriage stronger, intimate and loving.
