The true indication of the symptoms of infertility is lack of conception. If a couple have been trying to conceive for at least six months then they could have reason to be concerned.
If conception hasn't occurred within a year, those concerns will probably turn to fears. It's a tough situation to face for a couple when they have their heart set on children.
There are many possible symptoms of infertility; in fact, symptoms may not even be the correct term to use as if infertility is considered a disease, what actually are the official symptoms.
For women, there are some tell tale signs to look out for but they certainly cannot be classified as the reason conception is not happening. This will only be determined after a series of tests.
Possible Infertility Indicators
- Erractic menstrual cycles could be a tell tale sign. For example, if a woman misses her menstrual cycle what can she determine. Is it a sign of infertility perhaps? Maybe it could be any number of other things including early menopause. What about fibroid issues or even worse, something malignant.
- Hormone issues may be another tell tale sign such as low hormone levels during the initial and final stages of a menstrual cycle.
- Lack of cervical fluid is another possible cause of infertility issues. Carrying the sperm to the egg via cervical fluid is nature's way of giving the former an opportunity to fertilize the eggs. But a lack of cervical fluid will seriously hamper the sperm's ability to complete it's task and if this is occurring unbeknown to you, then it's another possible symptom for infertility issues.
- Issues in a woman's pelvic region can be a signal of a number of conditions. Constant pain in this area could be related to several things whether they be fibroid complaints or infection. Conception for women when problems are occurring in this region could be extremely difficult. Again, another possible symptom in a sense.
Don't Guess And See Your Doctor
Symptom may not be the right description for some of the possible problems a woman can encounter when trying to conceive. Indicators could be a more apt description and it's really up to each individual to notice any of the tell tale signs we've just outlined.
These certainly aren't the only indicators to look out for in fact, they really are only scratching the surface. So what's the best solution to finding out if you really are infertile and there are issues at play.
Simple. If you have been trying to conceive for six months and beyond then it's probably a good indication that something is clearly not right. The best alternative is to make an appointment with your physician and this should include both yourself and your husband.
One thing to remember though, don't get disheartened until a problem has been established. In most cases, infertility issues are only temporary, caused by issues such as the ones we discussed above and with correct treatment methods, they can be overcome.
