When was the last time you wanted to get some information on a matter on the web, and ended up with getting too much of irrelevant data? Yes, there is so much information available around here that it can get even more difficult to sieve the required info. The SEO marketing strategies adopted (or the lack of it) are responsible for the success (or failure) of a site.
To forgive is divine but to learn from mistakes of others is even smarter.
Avoid these usual mistakes and see your rankings soar, (at least not fall).
1) Lack of quality content: You don’t need an expert- written highly jargonized, flamboyant article. What will do well in most cases is simple and relevant matter which is user-friendly. That said take care of the keyword density for that is how your site is recognized by the search engines: keywords. A rightly optimized content for web must have around 200 words keyword-density. Yes, you know it by now that content IS king...
If that’s lacking, you can be most certain nothing else will help much.
2) Deficient popularity of links:
Now if you have the true content, and still find that isn’t helping: get down to building your links network. Search engines love back links here:
Blogs- the easiest and the most interesting way to boost ranking.
Other “related” sites with higher PR
Forums postings- as signature links or in the post itself.
Make sure your own site is not a link farm in itself. On an average a maximum of 20-30 links on the homepage is agreeable. All of the above can be and is a time consuming process. But you’ll be amazed that their spontaneous and remarkable results.
If that’s what you are procrastinating- hire a consultant for yourself.
3) Lack of timely updates: so you’ve got a very nice content-trash it. Or update it. These are the only two options available. What works today might not work the next day. To remain in the competition, one needs to consistently recheck and follow up, research and grade. It‘s useless to be lenient on this front.
4) Not optimizing it now!
Get the act together by designing and optimizing your site quite at the same time.
It is a common mistake noticed that the optimization task is left for the “future”
I’d say the future is NOW. It is best to make the flow look natural.
5) Forgetting that the best things ARE free
It can prove “costly” to rely too much on paid advertising. Paid advertising is like the icing on the cake. Free advertising is the cake. Limit the paid sponsorships even if you can afford it.
6) Lack of the turning process
That is how I like to describe it. If you would like to know the above applied rules work, become a first-time visitor to your own site. Anticipating the viewer’s needs is what is very crucial. Even more simply put: give the very best you an give to them and what you think your site is meant to provide information on. Links which are irrelevant and confusing are sure to be a spoilsport.
7) Remembering that there are 10000 search engines available
The fact is only a bunch of search engines make up more than ninety percent of all the traffic created. The rest are blindly negligible. (You probably know how much Google loves itself).
