The internet has made it possible for you to earn money if you want to work. If you find the right online internet business opportunity you could even quit your job, or maybe even retire some day. So what makes one opportunity good and others not so good.

1. When you understand that there over one billion websites you quickly learn that the internet is competitive. Just because you are now wanting to earn money on it means nothing to your competitors. If you can find an opportunity is a less competitive industry, or niche, you stand a better chance of succeeding quicker. Believe it or not that can be done.

2. Choose a business that is being searched for online. Do not make the mistake of thinking you will create traffic that is not there. It is much easier to sell to people that are looking for you already than it is to get them to look and then sell to them. A common mistake people make when choosing a good online business is they do not research to look for keyword popularity.

3. A really good business opportunity is one you can experience immediate success in. Even the smallest success can go a long way towards helping you stick with it when times are slow. Many people give up and quit because they feel like a failure.

4. You must be able to make money and do it without spending more than you are earning. Many people will go online and start an internet business and quit because they can not afford it anymore.

If you are spending more than you are making in any business eventually you will run out of money. The internet makes it possible to build your business without spending a lot of money to do it if you have the right business to do it for.

5. I like residual income programs. This means you get paid over and over for doing the work one time. A really good online internet business is one that has some way for you to create income when you are not working.

Certainly a website works 24 hours a day even when you are not, but programs like network marketing and 2 tier affiliate programs allow you to get paid on the efforts of others. This can lead to residual income as well.
