Numerous people do not know the difference between law firm and lawyers, a Law Firm is a law business operated by one or more lawyers, it law firm can be any size and when you hire a lawyer you hire the firm. Except specified any lawyer in the firm can be involved with your file. It is very important to know which lawyers in a firm are actually performing the work on your file as the experience and skill of the firm lawyers may vary. Secondly people are worried about the size of firm, the basic answer is no, size of the firm does not indicate its quality. We can see many excellent small medium and large sized firms; quality of the legal work is more a function of the lawyer(s) actually assigned to the file than the firm itself. Therefore it may be more important which lawyer(s) is (are) working on your case than which firm, it is especially true of firms where the lawyers are constantly changing.

Another point of matter is the location of firm. Science has changed the way some law firms do business, client have the luxury of meeting with their lawyers less frequently as a result of technology. Firm who have technological savvy can make it easier for clients who do not want to travel to and from an office especially where parking is difficult or expensive. Few excellent firms and lawyers are moving their offices from the downtown urban centers to reduce their expenses and their fees. So, if a firm has integrated technology into its practice then its location may not matter to it or you. A common question which people ask is when do they need a lawyer and the answer is when you're buying or selling a home, adopting a child, signing an important contract, making a will or organizing a business; you've been in an accident where someone was hurt or property was damaged; you are the victim of an abusive spouse; you are accused of a crime; you've been injured at work; you are going through a divorce; and you are having problems with your landlord or tenant, these, and other circumstances, are times when you should seek a lawyer's advice. Elite time to consult a lawyer is before, not after, you have legal problems; it can save you money in the long run and keep any legal difficulties to a minimum. The lawyer can help by offering you legal counseling and advice, preparing documents and, if necessary, representing you in court and other legal proceedings. A law can be very complicated and lawyers are trained to deal effectively with these complexities.
