The chain of department stores known as Macy’s has shops all over the US. The one on Seventh Avenue has been dubbed “World’s Largest Store” after its completion in 1924. With flagship stores from New York, San Francisco and Chicago to Atlanta, Miami, St. Louis and Seattle, as well as many other smaller ones, chances are that pretty much wherever you live in the States, there’ll be a Macys near you.

Several events held at or sponsored by Macys have drawn attention recently. A special discount sale also known as “Macy’s 4 day sale” allows shoppers to have access to a wide series of products, at much lower prices than usual. The discounts usually range from ten to fifty percent, and you also have the options of buying one or two items and getting another one at half price or free. To let you get the general idea, within the four days of such a sale, the price for dresses is down by a quarter from the original one. If you buy three bras, you only have to pay for two, and great bargains don’t stop here. If you’re looking for items for the home, for instance you can get between thirty and forty-five percent off for mattresses.

Although Macys offers a wide range of apparel and accessories for men, women, teenagers and kids, they’re also giving special attention to home items. One example is Macy’s Rug Event. It doesn’t matter whether one of your old rugs has been destroyed, you’re moving in and need some new ones or you simply feel like having a colorful one that ties the room together and matches the rest of your furniture perfectly. Such an event is created for all of these occasions and not only. An amazing number of sizes, patterns and styles are available for prices which are smaller by twenty to fifty percent compared to the initial ones.

Also, if you’re looking for bargains for Macys products and you’re shopping online, remember that anything from intimates and shoes to furniture and kitchen appliances is available. A shopping spree through New York, however, may just be an excellent idea. The deal is this. Most people associate New York with the Manhattan area and exclusive designer stores. Amazingly enough, bargains can be found here too, especially in the immense Macy’s store which is located on 34th avenue. It takes up an entire city block and spreads over nine floors. Designer items are available as well, but as you ascend, it seems to get less formal. It may take quite a while to look through such an immense retail space, but luckily there are fast food restaurants within the building. If your bargain hunt is becoming exhausting, you can always take a few minutes to relax, only to start again.
