The following article will outline and deliver tips and useful information to take into account when travelling. Everything from security procedures to what taxi you should take.

Keep your luggage with you
While the airports really do stress this enough, it definitely still merits a reiteration. NEVER leave your luggage unattended at any time, best case scenario is that it will be confiscated, or stolen, worst case scenario is that you end up in prison for the transportation of drugs!

Wear a "Bum Bag"
While you may think you look a tad stupid (and lets be honest, you do), a great way to store your money, passport and tickets is in a bum bag. It allows you to keep what is most important to you close to your person.

Take Visa
While I don't recommend you use a visa card while you are abroad due to the 2.5% charge that is incurred. It is a good idea to take a visa card, with a suitable limit just in case the worst does happen, you lose your tickets, all your cash and have no way of getting home.

Travel Insurance
A huge amount of people do not travel with insurance, which is just plain dumb to be honest. Costing little over £20 ($40) per shortish trip why would you ever take the risk? Good travel insurance will cover you for; loss of baggage, illness, loss of money, loss of valuables (usually extra), flight cancellations and many more.

Confirm Bookings
Everything is going well, you have travelled to the airport, flown to your destination, got a taxi to the hotel and then they don't recall you having a booking! This is all to a common situation, which can easily be checked with a pre-travel call which will save you an absolute ton of hassle if the worst does occur.

Taxi's
When landing at the airport there will generally be an "airport limousine" service which (strangely from the name) normally does not offer expensive limousine rides, but offers your everyday standard taxi service. These taxi services are recommended by the airport however, and are a far safer way of travelling to your hotels. Never pickup a taxi that is just hanging around outside, they can be dangerous and down right dodgy.

Enjoy your holiday
Following these simply tips should help you forget the stress of travelling, flying and everything else. Just get on with your holiday, enjoy the weather and have a good time!
